Welcome to Horizon High School Ministry

At Horizon High School Ministry, it's our goal to make every student feel they have a place where they belong.  Life is busy.  Between school, sports, music, a job, family, friends, and hobbies, life can feel a little out of control sometimes.  High School Ministry is here to help you cut through the stress of life, connect with God, unite in deeper relationships and faith, discover your gifts and talents, and serve the world around you.  We do all this through fun environments, events, activities, and services.  Who said church had to be boring?

Beginning Sunday, June 20th, HSM is moving from Wednesday nights to Sunday nights at 7pm. We are making this change for a number of reasons, but primarily to adjust to the growing school and sports schedules that often keep students from making it to youth group. We hope that by making this strategic shift, more students will be able to come to youth group on a regular basis.
Beginning June 20th, the middle school ministry will meet from 7-8:30pm in the Sagert gym for our primary youth service. See you there!

Pastor David's letter explaining these changes, and the entire Summer 2010 schedule.

  • HSM Christmas Schedule

It's that time of year...When everybody is moving a million miles an hour, shopping, baking, going to family gatherings, and Christmas parties and so on. With all the busyness this season brings, many of our Sunday morning Shepherding groups are taking Sundays off until January 3rd.In light of this, we will not have our regular "student ministries lounge" operating until the 3rd of January. We encourage students to join their families in the sanctuary for the main service for the next 2 weeks until our regular student program resumes.Midweek services will continue as usual, with the exception of the week of January 29th and 30th. We will not have services that week. Instead, your middle school or high school student is welcome to join us at the Horizon boys basketball game on 1/29 at 7:30 at the South Campus to cheer on the Hawks. Admission is $2.

    Recap

    - No Sunday morning youth program until January 3rd

    - Midweek youth group continues as usual (Middle School on Tuesdays @ 7pm; High School on Wednesdays @ 7pm at The Garage)

    - There will be no youth group the week of 12/29-12/30

    - Join us on 12/29 at the South Campus to cheer on the Horizon Boys Basketball team

  • Winter Camp 2010

Winter Camp at Washington Family Ranch is back, and it's coming sooner than ever before. A spot at the nation's premiere youth camp, the Washington Family Ranch, opened up on the MLK holiday weekend, so our camp has moved from March to January and has been extended to 3 nights for the same price as 2 nights last year! The only downside is that our registration window closes Sunday, December 13th.

Winter Camp is open to all middle school and high school students. Activities include a high ropes course, skatepark, basketball, volleyball, billiards, a huge swing called "The Screamer," and so much more. More than that, the services give an opportunity to connect with God in new ways and grow deeper in your relationship with Jesus.

    When: January 15-18, 2010 (Registration ends 12/13)

Where: Washington Family Ranch, Antelope, OR

    How Much: $180
