Life@Horizon:
This 2 week class held three times a year is designed for people who are new to Horizon and are interested in learning more about our church - our history, vision, beliefs, ministries, and opportunities for involvement. By the Life@Horizon class, partipants are eligible to become members of the church if they desire. Email us for information on upcoming classes.
LIFEgroups:
Want to get connected in meaningful relationships with others? Want to grow in your faith and get deeper understanding of God’s word? Then LIFEgroups are the right place for you. LIFEGroups meet for 10-week segments in host homes in the fall, winter, and spring. The next group session will start in January, so be on the lookout for signup information on our website and in the Sunday bulletin in the coming weeks. Ministry and Service Opportunities:
There are many areas at Horizon that you can use your talents to serve others in our church and community. Serving is also an excellent way to get connected at Horizon. Horizon has amazing ministry leaders and volunteers that make this a wonderful place to be. If you would like to be a part of the Horizon team feel free to contact ministry leaders through our website, by calling the church office, or by filling out a Communication card in a Sunday service. Children’s Gatherings:
Horizon loves kids! We have specialized care and ministry for children, infants through 5th grade. Our staff and volunteers work to make this a safe and fun environment for children to learn about Jesus and would love to talk to you about getting your children involved. Middle and High School Gatherings:
Tuesday and Wednesday servic, events, LIFEgroups: Junior High & High School students have mid week services, Sunday morning gatherings and evening LIFEgroups, and monthly activities and events designed just for them! Shepherding Groups:
During our Sunday morning services, we offer classes for adults called Shepherding groups that are broken down by life stages. Whether you’re single, married, raising children, empty nesters, retired, engaged or newly married – there is a place for you in our Shepherding Groups. The groups offer a time of fellowship, teaching and prayer and meet at other times in social gatherings. For more information, click here to email us.
Singles Ministry:
You won’t be singled out in our Singles Ministry. Weekly classes & small groups, monthly events, yearly retreats make this ministry for adults 26 and over an exciting place to be. Visit the Singles Ministry page, or contact Pastor Alex Esquerra for details.
Women’s Ministry:
If you are looking for a place to belong, you will find that in our women’s ministry. Our home groups and groups for Moms will encourage and inspire you. Our events & retreats throughout the year will help you connect and have fun with other women as well as provide a time for you to build relationships and get refreshed and recharged. Our ladies also reach out monthly with a ministry team to our local women's correctional facility. Please contact Beth Yancey, our Women's Ministry Director, to find out how you can get involved.
Journey To Freedom:
At Horizon, we believe there is freedom available through the power of Jesus Christ. Journey to Freedom is all about getting freedom for your hurts, hang-ups and habits. Classes and support are available for all types of dependencies. For details, contact Pastor John Pries.
